Who We Are

Drum Groove (drumpracticepro.com), browser-based drum sequencer and groove trainer. It is operated as an independent side project.

What We Collect

We only collect data that is necessary for the service to work:

  • Account information — your email address and display name, collected when you create an account.
  • User-generated content — drum patterns you save, your preferences (BPM, theme, note division), and beats you mark as favorites.
  • Analytics data — page views, session duration, and general interactions collected by Google Analytics via browser cookies. This is only activated after you give consent.

We do not collect payment information, precise location, or any sensitive personal data.

How We Use It

  • To provide and operate the drum sequencer and your account.
  • To save and retrieve your patterns, preferences, and favorites across devices.
  • To understand how the app is used in aggregate so we can improve it (Google Analytics, consent-gated).

We do not sell your data, run advertising, or use your data for any purpose beyond operating this service.

Third-Party Services

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — your account credentials are stored in AWS cloud; AWS infrastructure is located in the United States.
  • Google Analytics— collects anonymized usage data via cookies only after you accept the cookie consent prompt. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.

Cookies

We use one category of cookies: analytics cookies (Google Analytics). These are only set after you explicitly accept the consent banner. You can decline analytics cookies without any loss of functionality — all features work without them.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or session cookies beyond what AWS Cognito requires for authentication.

Data Retention

Your account data (email, display name, saved patterns, preferences, favorites) is retained for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, all associated data is removed from our systems within 30 days. Analytics data is retained per Google's default retention policy (14 months) and is not linked to your account.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at . We will respond within 30 days.

If you are in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
