What is a drum sequencer?

A drum sequencer is a tool that lets you program drum patterns by activating steps on a grid, where each column represents a subdivision of the beat. You choose which drum instruments (kick, snare, hi-hat, etc.) play on each step, then loop the pattern at any tempo.

What time signatures does Drum Practice Pro support?

Drum Practice Pro supports 4/4, 3/4, and 6/8 time signatures, with note divisions of quarter notes, eighth notes, and sixteenth notes.

Can I save my drum patterns?

Yes. Create a free account to save up to 5 drum grooves to your profile. Saved grooves can be reloaded, edited, and updated at any time. You can also share any pattern via a URL.

Does Drum Practice Pro show drum notation?

Yes. Every pattern you build is automatically rendered as standard drum sheet music notation using VexFlow. The notation updates in real time as you add or remove hits.
